Yungblud Is Bringing His Wild Energy To Montana
If you had told me even a year ago that one of the most talked about modern alternative rock artists in the world would be coming to Billings for MontanaFair, I probably would’ve laughed...and then immediately started looking up ticket prices anyway.
But it’s happening.
Yungblud is officially coming to Billings, and if you’ve spent even five minutes on social media lately, you already know people are losing their minds over it. Known for blending alternative rock with punk, pop punk, pop rock, and even hip-hop, Yungblud has built a fanbase that spans generations and music genres. He’ll perform at MontanaFair on Friday, August 7, and something tells me these tickets will sell out fast.
When Tickets Go On Sale For The Billings Show
Here’s what you need to know if you want to be there.
And if the reaction online is any indication, you probably don’t want to wait too long to decide whether or not to buy tickets.
There’s A Whole Generation Of Women Weirdly Obsessed With Yungblud
Can we talk about the phenomenon for a second?
Because I swear there’s an entire army of middle-aged women who are absolutely captivated by this 28-year-old British rocker, and I may or may not be part of that demographic.
It’s hard to explain unless you get it.
Maybe it’s the swagger. Maybe it’s the energy. Maybe it’s the way he walks into a room like an actual rock star, which feels rare these days. Or maybe it’s because for a lot of us who grew up during the era of real larger-than-life rock personalities, he somehow taps into that same feeling again.
There’s something chaotic and magnetic about him in the best possible way. And the wild part is that he’s pulled in audiences from literally every age group.
His Music Connects With People Way Beyond One Generation
I’ve become completely hooked on his song “Zombie.” There’s just something about it that stuck with me after the first listen. It has emotion without feeling forced. Loud without losing heart. And apparently, I’m not the only one in my house paying attention.
Even my son loves “Zombie,” and he’s also really into “Heaven, Hello.” That’s part of what makes Yungblud interesting to me. He somehow connects with people who grew up on classic rock energy while also pulling in younger fans who weren’t even around for the music eras that inspire him.
That’s not easy to do.
Yungblud’s Connection To Ozzy Osbourne Makes Perfect Sense
The connection between Yungblud and Ozzy Osbourne actually makes a ton of sense when you think about it.
Ozzy represented individuality, unpredictability, and a never-seeming concern about whether people fully understood him. There was something fearless about the way he carried himself, and a lot of rock fans see flashes of that same energy in Yungblud today.
Ozzy never felt polished in a manufactured way, and neither does Yungblud. They both come across as raw, emotional, loud, messy sometimes, and completely themselves. That’s probably part of why the connection resonates with rock fans across generations.

MontanaFair Just Landed One Of Its Biggest Shows In Years
For Billings, this feels like a huge get.
MontanaFair concerts always bring excitement, but this one feels different. It feels like one of those shows people are going to talk about for a long time after it’s over.
If you’ve ever seen clips of a Yungblud concert online, you already know this won’t be one of those stand there and politely clap kinds of nights.
This is going to be loud. Emotional. Wild. Sweaty. Probably a little chaotic. Exactly what a rock show should be.
Oh, and another gift for my fellow middle-aged lady friends, if you somehow missed that announcement too, yes, Matt Rife is also coming to Billings. He’ll be performing at the First Interstate Arena on Sunday, June 14.
You’re welcome.
