Free Concert in Billings Honors Veterans with Music, Food, and Camaraderie
Veterans and their families are invited to an evening of music, food, and appreciation at the Thank You for Your Service Concert on Friday, August 15.
Hosted by Veterans Navigation Network, this free event will take place at Red Oxx Events Lawn, located at 324 N 13th Street in Billings, and will begin at 7 p.m. The night is designed to honor service members and their families with a mix of live music, good food, and community connection.
A Lineup That Hits the Right Notes
The concert will feature performances from two well loved artists who bring both talent and heart to the stage. Jessica Arndt, a local favorite known for her acoustic style and strong vocals, will open the evening. She’ll be followed by nationally recognized country artist Chris Petersen, whose high energy shows and emotionally rich songs have made him a staple in the country music scene.
Chris gained recognition through social media, particularly on his Instagram account @diehardcowboy_, and through his appearances on shows like America's Got Talent. Together, Jessica and Chris will provide an unforgettable soundtrack to a night of reflection and celebration.
Food, Child Care, and Family Friendly Fun
In addition to the music, guests can look forward to a casual cookout with burgers and hot dogs provided at no cost. The event is designed with families in mind, and child care will be available for veterans who need it, just be sure to let organizers know ahead of time so they can plan accordingly. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the concert in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Why Registration Matters
Although the event is free, registration is required through Eventbrite. This helps the Veterans Navigation Network prepare enough food, organize child care services, and ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience for everyone attending. Registering also helps keep the event focused on the veterans and families it’s meant to honor.
