Urgent Help Needed as Tumbleweed Pantry Shelves Dwindle
The shelves at Tumbleweed of Billings are dangerously bare. The demand for food has surged, and the pantry simply can’t keep up. Teens, and individuals in crisis are walking through the doors every day, many unsure where their next meal will come from.
Asking for Immediate Help
This is an urgent plea. If you’ve ever thought about donating, now is the time. Tumbleweed is in critical need of non-perishable food items to help feed the growing number of people turning to them for help. Every can, every box, every single item matters.
High-Need Items Right Now
Here’s what’s needed most:
- Canned ravioli
- Instant meals
- Easy-to-carry snacks like Oreos and Rice Krispies Treats
- Canned chili
- Mac and cheese (boxed and instant)
- Pasta and pasta sauce
- Fruit cups
- Granola bars
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Canned chicken
- Instant rice
- Beef stew
These are not just food items, they are essentials that can get someone through the hardest day of their life.
Where and When to Donate
Please bring donations as soon as possible to 505 N. 24th Street West in Billings. The pantry is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you’re not sure what to give, anything shelf stable and easy to prepare will help.
Another Way to Help and a Sweet Thank You
If getting to Tumbleweed during the week is tough, there’s another easy way to help. Donations can also be dropped off at Candy Town USA, located in Shiloh Crossing at 1025 Shiloh Crossing Boulevard in Billings. As a thank you for your generosity, anyone who donates at Candy Town can enter to win a candy basket valued at $150. It’s a small treat for a big act of kindness.
Hope Needs Fuel
Tumbleweed has always stood for hope, but hope needs fuel, and that starts with food. Right now, people are going hungry and the community’s help is the only way forward.

If you’re able, please act today. Share this message. Drop off what you can. Help refill the shelves and remind those who are struggling that Billings takes care of its own.
