UPDATE: Although we've not received official confirmation whether or not she's been found, Natasja's missing profile has been pulled from the DOJ website.

Natasja Jeney Tuomala, a 16-year-old female of American Indian or Alaskan Native descent, has been reported missing from Billings since the 2nd of April 2025.

Natasja, who has no known aliases, is described as having black hair and brown eyes, standing at 5 feet tall, and weighing about 100 pounds. The Billings Police Department is leading the investigation.

Missing and Endangered Person Advisory

Natasja Tuomala's case meets the criteria for a Missing and Endangered Person Advisory (MEPA) under Montana law enforcement agencies. This system was established to respond to missing person cases that do not qualify for an AMBER Alert, encompassing runaways, missing children, custody disputes, and missing adults.

While the AMBER Alert program is specific to child abductions where life is at risk, MEPA was created to aid in other various situations.

MEPA Advisory Initiated

The Billings Police Department has issued a MEPA Advisory for Natasja Tuomala, who disappeared under unexplained circumstances on April 2, 2025. Her absence is considered involuntary, raising concerns about her safety, given her age and vulnerable status. The primary goal of the MEPA Advisory is to quickly disseminate information to the public and law enforcement agencies statewide and regionally to help locate Natasja.
