
Manhunt in Montana: U.S. Marshals Offer $10K Reward for Quadruple Murder Suspect
The U.S. Marshals Service has increased the reward to $10,000 for any information leading to the arrest of Michael Paul Brown, the suspect in a quadruple homicide that happened in Anaconda, Montana on August 1, 2025.
Mass Shooting at The Owl Bar in Anaconda
The incident unfolded at The Owl Bar around 10:30 a.m. when local authorities responded to reports of an active shooter. Four people were found dead at the scene. Witnesses and evidence led police to identify Michael Brown as the shooter.
Pursuit Ends in Abandoned Vehicle
Following the shooting, Brown was located in a vehicle, prompting a high-speed pursuit. He managed to escape law enforcement, and the vehicle was later recovered abandoned. Brown was last seen heading west out of Anaconda on Stumptown Road.
Armed, Dangerous, and Still On the Run
Brown is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a white male, 5'10", weighing about 170 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was born on October 31, 1979.

Military Background and Prior Training
Brown served in the U.S. Army from 2001 to 2005, including a deployment to Iraq, and later joined the Montana National Guard from 2006 to 2009. Authorities caution that his military background may make him more evasive and potentially dangerous.
