Every parent’s worst nightmare is learning their child is missing, and that’s the reality one mother in our community is facing today.
The Laurel Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 14-year-old girl, Karina Gallegos.
Karina Was Last Seen Friday Evening on Atchison Drive
According to police, Karina left the area of Atchison Drive in Laurel on foot around 5:45 p.m. on Friday, January 2. She has not been seen since.
What Karina Was Wearing When She Left
Karina is described as a white female with brown hair that includes a noticeable purple streak. She was last seen wearing cream colored sweatpants, a cream colored long sleeve shirt, and carrying a small purse.

Family Recently Moved to Laurel
Additional context was in a post that was circulated on the Laurel MT Information and Announcements Facebook page. The post states that Karina’s family recently moved to Laurel and that she left her home to spend the night with a friend who lives a few houses down the road.
Last Check In Was Friday Night
The same post explains that Karina last checked in with her family at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Since then, there has been no confirmed contact, increasing concern, and prompting police to ask for the community’s help.
