Montana Costco Stores Recall Kirkland Cold & Flu Capsules
Costco has recently initiated a recall on its Kirkland Signature brand Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion capsules, citing potential contamination concerns.
The affected capsules were marketed as the "Cool Breeze" variant and included both daytime and nighttime capsules.
Identification of Affected Products
Customers who purchased the capsules between October 30, 2024, and November 30, 2024, with item number 1729556 and lot code P140082 are advised to take note of the recall. If you have any of these products, Costco recommends discontinuing use immediately and returning the item to the store for a full refund.
Reason for Recall
The recall stems from the pharmaceutical manufacturer, LNK International, Inc., taking precautionary measures due to the discovery of potential contamination in a specific lot of medication. The affected medication was inadvertently released and shipped to consumers despite being rejected for foreign material contamination.
High Season for Respiratory Illnesses
As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there is a heightened occurrence of respiratory illnesses leading individuals to seek medical attention. Among the viruses contributing to this surge are COVID-19, influenza, and RSV.

Protecting Your Health
For customers who purchased the affected product with the specified lot code, it is crucial to refrain from using any remaining capsules and return the item to your nearest Costco store for a full refund.
If you encounter any problems or have concerns regarding the recall, please do not hesitate to contact LNK International Inc. at 1-800-426-9391 or reach out via email at complaints-inquiries@lnkintl.com.
