The Day After Endorsing Trump, Tulsi Gabbard Joins Montana Talks
The day after she endorsed President Donald Trump in his campaign versus Vice President Kamala Harris, former Democrat presidential candidate and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard joined us on Montana Talks.
What was her message to Montanans?
Tulsi Gabbard: "We have a very clear choice in your US Senate race just as we do in the race for president. It really is a choice between a person who stands for freedom, peace, and prosperity for all Americans, versus a person who stands for more government control, less freedom, censorship, and more war. That's really what it comes down to. And the choice in the national race is between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, and the same choice is there between Tim Sheehy and Jon Tester."
Gabbard is not only a former Democrat presidential candidate, she's also a fellow Iraq war veteran like Tim Sheehy and me and many of our radio listeners across Montana. We have over 100,000 veterans here in Montana.
Gabbard endorsed Trump in a speech at the National Guard Association of the United States on Monday. She said she wanted to give her speech there, "with soldiers and airmen from every state and territory across the country there" who know the cost of war.
She said that is also why she is endorsing Navy SEAL Veteran and GOP Senate candidate Tim Sheehy in the US Senate race here in Montana.
Tulsi Gabbard: "We have seen the consequences of politicians who put their own self serving interests and their own power, or attempts to look tough, ahead of the interests of the American people, our national security, and peace. So you know, for anyone who is undecided at this point, it's important to recognize that in this election specifically, the choice is not about- are you a Democrat or Republican, or do you like this person or like that person. There's so much more at stake here. This is a choice between freedom and peace or living in an increasingly tyrannical society and at war."
Tulsi Gabbard says Tester is guilty of the same thing as Kamala Harris.
Tulsi Gabbard: "They say one thing, and they tell us lies to our face, but their actions tell the exact opposite story. And that's going to be the most important thing for us as voters to look at as we head into this election."
