PETA Responds Following Staged Events in Great Falls, Billings
It seems only fair...
Man, you look at all of the harm that Dr. Fauci caused to this country...but does anyone also remember the big story about what Dr. Fauci did to the Beagle puppies? Where was PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) when Fauci was doing his crazy stuff.
I certainly don't recall PETA staging Fauci protests in Great Falls and downtown Billings, Montana. But that being said, when PETA was protesting a BBQ joint in Great Falls and then Jakes in Billings- one of our friends on X asked the question, " Where was PETA when Fauci was torturing dogs?"
PETA responded by saying that they did call out Fauci, and- interestingly enough- they also say they are pleased with some of the things coming out of the Trump Administration.
ICYMI, here was the story I shared last week: PETA Prepping Attack on Downtown Billings Restaurants
Here is part of PETA's response (they also thanked me for the coverage even if we disagree on BBQ):
"We would like to point out, though, that our truck doesn’t “attack” anyone; it merely provides Americans with another side of the story so that they can decide for themselves how they’d like to eat.
We also noticed that you retweeted someone asking, “Where was PETA when Fauci was torturing dogs?” and thought you’d be interested to know that we were speaking out against Fauci’s support of cruel experiments on animals every step of the way, and you can watch PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo calling for Fauci’s resignation in an interview with Tucker Carlson, and on Fox News, Newsmax, and Breitbart.
In contrast, we’ve had a lot to celebrate under the Trump administration:
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Jay Bhattacharya recently announced that the agency will stop cruel and pointless sepsis experiments on beagles—in which animals are deliberately sickened with harmful bacteria and left to endure fever, shock, and multiple organ failure before ultimately being killed. The move followed more than a decade of PETA pressure on NIH over the use of animals in pointless sepsis experiments, tens of thousands of emails to NIH officials from PETA supporters, and a 2021 landmark lawsuit seeking to end all sepsis experiments on animals in federally funded laboratories.
- And last month, the FDA and NIH both announced that they would be moving away from cruel and archaic experiments on animals in favor of cutting-edge, human-relevant research methods. NIH adopted several recommendations from PETA’s Research Modernization NOW in its announcement, including expanding funding, training, and infrastructure for non-animal methods and mitigating bias toward experiments on animals in NIH grant review panels."
