Samples! A Look Inside Montana’s Newest Costco in Kalispell

I was there when the new Costco opened in Billings back in 2023, so why not pop into the new one in Kalispell too?

The new Costco in Kalispell just opened up (TODAY), right up the road from the old one on HWY 93. We took a peek inside and ran into some friends along the way.

It was PACKED for the big opening today (Tuesday in Kalispell). We dropped in after hitting the gym. And it was so cool running into our friends from the Bozeman-based Anthem Snacks. We got to meet them at the SHOT Show a few years ago down in Vegas, and then got to tag along with the Anthem Snacks crew to UFC 300. Anthem founder Nate Kouhana is a green beret veteran and great guy.

They were there giving out free samples for the grand opening. So was a company out of nearby Idaho called Ballard Cheese...and oh man- you got to try the fried cheese especially.

As for the size of the new Costco in Kalispell, it felt a lot like the new Costco on the Zoo Drive exit in Billings, which I wrote back in 2023 is about 166,00 square feet. (According to a KTVQ-TV report at the time).

As for the samples- I mentioned the Ballard Cheeses and Anthem Snacks above (check out photos of the Anthem Snacks crew below). They also were grilling up some steak, had huckleberry products galore (BBQ sauce, jam, cheesecake), and some Flathead soda.

What was a new item I don't think I've seen before anyway? Have you ever been on a beach vacation where they throw a straw in a coconut? You can now buy THAT at Costco in Kalispell.
