Cat In Eastern Montana Needs Your Help This Christmas
If you've listened to our statewide radio show, you've likely heard a phone call from "Cat in Eastern Montana." Well, Cat needs your help this Christmas. Her husband is battling cancer, and a friend has set up a GoFundMe page so you can help out.
Trevor Walter and his wife Kerry sent us a note that they areraising funds for Darron and Cat Holley.
"Darron has been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that has spread beyond the prostate wall. He’s now undergoing radiation treatment, which requires him to be in Williston, North Dakota, for an extended period. Because of the seriousness of his condition, Darron is unable to work while he focuses on treatment and recovery," the Walters write.
"Cat, his devoted wife, had to quit both jobs to care for him full-time. They’ve temporarily relocated from their home in Butte, Montana, to Williston, North Dakota, where Darron is receiving treatment. Meanwhile, they’re still paying utilities and groceries for Darron’s disabled son, who remains in their Butte home after suffering a traumatic brain injury that left him unable to work."
The Walters say the GoFundMe fundraising efforts will help with living expenses, rent during treatment, travel costs, medical needs, and household expenses while Darron fights to overcome cancer and regain his strength. "Once treatment is complete, he’s determined to return to work and get back to the life he’s worked so hard to build."
The Walters concluded by saying, "Let’s come together as a community to support Darron and Cat through this difficult season and help them get back home to Montana stronger than ever."
