Did You Know...

...the oldest recorded instance of a UFO viewing can be traced back to 214 CE?

While UFOs are usually thought to be very sophisticated spacecrafts of alien visitors to Earth, the term UFO can be used to refer to any type of object or phenomena that has not been previously observed in an area. Most UFO sightings are easily explained by scientific means. Despite this, UFOs are a constant subject of conspiracy theories around the world.

It is believed that the abbreviation "UFO" was first introduced somewhere around the1950s by a guy names Edward J. Ruppelt. He was an officer with the United States Air Force. He used it as a way to replace the prevailing terms used for unidentified objects in the skies at that time. Those terms were flying saucers and flying discs.

Few Tips On How You Celebrate The National Day Of UFO'S:

  • Join a UFO sighting organization and attend their events or follow them on social media. To the best of my knowledge and some googling I couldn't find any local groups, BUT if they are around let me know!
  • Do you research and get lost in all the stories and read more about UFOS and what they are, who is on them, and more.
  • Have a UFO sighting party, where you get together with family and friends to try and spot an UFO in the sky. Don't forget your tin foil so they can't read your thoughts!
