Billings’ Animal Shelter Update and an Adorable, Adoptable Kitty
It's been just over a month since "the incident" at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. Of course, I'm referring to the incinerator malfunction that flooded the facility with toxic smoke while law enforcement was destroying seized/confiscated drugs at the shelter.
The story quickly went viral, with coverage from the Wall Street Journal, CBS News, the BBC, the New York Post, and countless other outlets.

Meet our featured Wet Nose Wednesday Pet: Sally Skellington
Sally is a charming, two-year-old kitty who arrived at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter about a week ago.
When Animal Control picked her up, she had a small lump on her front, right shoulder. YVAS vets removed the tissue, and Sally Skellington has recovered nicely. Other than a bald spot where she was shaved for surgery, she's back to normal.
Adopt Sally at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Billings.
Sally Skellington has a fun name, and this sweet cat is a delight. She didn't seem to mind the car ride/crate situation during her in-studio visit, and she explored every nook and cranny of our studio when she wasn't getting her tail and ears scratched by me.
Thank you, Shipton's Big R, for supporting animal adoption in the Billings area. Don't miss the annual Pet-o-Ween pet costume contest this weekend at the West End Shipton's.
