Big Sandy
Okay, if your mom is named Sandy, you probably don't call her "Big Sandy." That would be rude. Approximately 80 miles northeast of Great Falls, Big Sandy is probably best known for being the home of former Senator Jon Tester.
Darby
I know several women named Darby. This charming community is nestled in the Bitterroot Valley.
Dillon
Moms named Dillon may spell it differently. Perhaps it's Dylan or Dillan or Dilynne. Regardless, Dillon, MT is an awesome small town.
Geraldine
Geraldine is a feminine version of the somewhat dated name Gerald. It's a small farming community between Lewistown and Fort Benton.
Helena
I realize there aren't too many moms named Helena, but there are plenty of Helen's in Montana, and that's close enough for this article.
Jordan
Like Dillon, Jordan can be a boy's or a girl's name, although I feel like it's more popular for women. This town is your last stop for supplies if you're heading to the Hell Creek marina at Fort Peck.
Judith Gap
Judith (aka, Judy) was a very popular name from the mid 30s to the mid-1950s. Judith Gap is a small community between Harlowton and Lewistown.
Laurel
Laurel was a marginally popular name, peaking in 1956. This Billings bedroom town is growing steadily.
Libby
Let's hear it for Moms named Libby. Libby is a gorgeous mountain town in northwestern Montana.

Shelby
Shelby, population 3,100 +/-, is located on the Hi-Line between Cut Bank and Havre.
Sheridan
Baby books say the name Sheridan means "searcher." The Montana town in the gorgeous Ruby Valley is named after Philip Sheridan, a general in the Union Army during the Civil War
Sidney
Not to be confused with Sydney, Australia, this town sits near the Montana/North Dakota border.
Terry
Perhaps a mom in your life is named Teri, or maybe it's her nickname shortened from Theresa. The town of Terry is found between Miles City and Glendive on I-94. If your mom likes to fish for catfish, take her to Terry; it's located along the Yellowstone River.
Virginia City
Virginia was a popular girl's name in the 1920s. Virginia City is a fun attraction in southwest Montana for history buffs.
Winifred
Winifred hasn't been a popular name for many decades, although Winnie is cute and making a bit of a comeback. This isolated community is located in northcentral MT and currently has fewer than 200 residents.
