Georgia is a 7-year-old Hound mix.

Sadly, Georgia arrived at YVAS as a surrender, Lindsay Dillon, Volunteer Coordinator, said when they stopped by our studios today. While the circumstances are private, it's clear that Georgia came from a loving home. Or at least one that showered her with treats. She's a thick girl, weighing in at a hefty 107 pounds.

Georgia has been on a weight loss journey for the past few weeks under the shelter's Foster Program, and she has now been moved to the adoption floor at YVAS. She loves car rides, pup cups, other dogs, and humans of all ages.

Take her to the lake.

Dillon said they took Georgia on their most recent Hiking Hounds program (held on the last Sunday of each month, through September), and this dog loves water, plopping down in the creek to chill during the hike.

YVAS is currently filled with adoptable pets.

If Georgia isn't quite what you're looking for, stop by the shelter and browse all of the pets currently up for adoption. They have an entire room full of kittens, adult cats, and dogs of every size and shape. They also have three cute ferrets and two bunny rabbits. Something for everyone!

Thank you, Shipton's Big R, for supporting animal adoption in the Billings area.
