Big Boy, Big Heart. ‘Squishy’ is Looking for Love in Billings
Our office doorbell dinged around 10:15 this morning. "I bet that's our Wet Nose Wednesday dog," I said to a co-worker and walked down the hallway to answer the door. As I rounded the corner and looked into the elevator lobby, I could feel a huge grin spreading across my face.
"Who is this big boy?" I asked Derek Wulf, Humane Outreach Coordinator at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, as I opened the door. Meet 'Squishy', our featured adoptable dog on this week's Wet Nose Wednesday update.
Squishy is ready for a loving home.
This guy is bursting with happiness. His butt wiggles nonstop, and he is very affectionate. Wulf said Squishy arrived at the shelter as a stray on December 6. He's a 6-year-old pit mix.
Squishy seems well-mannered, and he knows how to sit and shake. He doesn't pull much on a leash, and he's a real love bug, albeit a hefty one at 100 pounds.
Bring Squishy home for Christmas.
Here's the positive news - Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter currently has just two dogs available for adoption. Squishy is one of them. Imagine how happy he would be spending this Christmas and many more to come with humans who love him?
More of a cat person?
I love dogs. We have four, along with one clever kitty named Emma. If you're looking for a cat or kitten, YVAS just received seventeen new felines. Wulf said they're approaching another "Catapalooza" situation, and it's not even kitten season yet.
Thank you, Shipton's Big R, for supporting animal adoption in the Billings area. You can browse all of the pets currently available at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter HERE. Check back often, as updates occur daily.
