Nothing ruins a great backyard cookout like someone in Montana getting pelted with shards of hot glass. That is the exact hazard behind a major new safety alert from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, which announced that Conair is recalling nearly 13,000 Cuisinart grills after the glass window on the pizza oven attachment started shattering during use.

Cuisinart Propel Gas Grill Recall Details

The recall covers the stainless steel Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grill, model number CGG-6331. The grill combines a griddle, a stove top burner, and a pizza oven, with a tempered glass window built into the top of the lid so users can watch food cook. That window can shatter during use, creating a laceration risk for anyone standing nearby.

Affected Cuisinart Grill Models Sold at Lowe's and Walmart

About 12,660 of these grills were sold in the United States, with another 83 sold in Canada. Conair, which owns Cuisinart, sold them through Lowe's, Walmart, and online at cuisinart.com from December 2024 through May 2026, priced between $500 and $750.

Reported Cuisinart Pizza Oven Glass Shattering Incidents

Conair has received 37 reports of glass shattering during use, including one incident involving a fire. No injuries have been reported.

How to Find Your Cuisinart Grill Model Number

The model number is printed on the label inside the right hand metal door, next to the serial number. Owners who confirm their grill matches CGG-6331 should stop using it immediately and check Conair's recall website to verify their unit is included.

How to Claim Your Cuisinart Propel Refund

Affected consumers are instructed to safely remove the tempered glass window from the pizza oven and upload two photos to Conair's website, one of the removed glass and one showing the grill's serial number. Once verified, Conair issues a $500 refund by check, or reimburses the original purchase price with proof of receipt. After the refund is issued, the company asks owners to write the word Recall on the glass in black permanent marker before disposing of it.
