Chris White Chosen to Lead Yellowstone County’s District 1
A new chapter begins for Yellowstone County’s District 1 as Chris White has officially been selected to fill the unexpired term of former Commissioner John Ostlund.
The decision comes after a thoughtful and thorough selection process involving community voices, qualified candidates, and a commitment to serving the people of the district.
A Community-Focused Process
Commissioners Morse and Waters extended deep gratitude to everyone involved in the process. From those who put their names forward to serve, to the central committee that helped vet the candidates, the message was clear: this community is filled with capable, passionate individuals willing to serve.
Three Outstanding Finalists, One Big Decision
The selection wasn’t taken lightly. Commissioners personally interviewed three finalists: Mr. Bushman, Mr. Loveridge, and Mr. White. Each brought unique strengths and a clear dedication to the community. Commissioners Waters and Morse publicly thanked them for their willingness to step up and serve, calling it a “sacrifice” made out of genuine care for Yellowstone County.
