Nearly 180,000 Safety 1st Grow and Go Sprint All-in-One car seats are being recalled due to a potential choking hazard.

The recall affects models manufactured between February and December 2023, identified by model numbers CC321GYU, CC321GYUD, CC321GYY, CC321GYYD, CC321HAO, and CC321HAR.

The issue is due to unsecured headrest foam, which can detach and pose a choking risk to young children.

What Should Montana Parents Do?

If you own one of the recalled car seats, it is important to stop using it immediately if you have little ones who can access the foam. Dorel Juvenile Group is offering a free replacement headrest pad assembly kit to address the issue.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed between June 9 and June 13, 2025. In the meantime, you can contact Dorel's customer service at 1-877-657-9546 or email gng-sprint-recall@djgusa.com for help.

How to Check if Your Car Seat is Affected

To determine if your car seat is part of the recall, locate the model number and manufacture date on the white label located on the side of the car seat. If your car seat matches one of the affected model numbers and was manufactured between February and December 2023, it is included in the recall.

While no injuries have been reported, 13 complaints have been made. By staying informed and erring on the side of caution, you can make sure to keep your child safe during every journey.
