Billings Kids Need Your Help to Make This Trunk or Treat Huge
My family loves Halloween. Not just the candy part, although I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t a big perk for my kid. We love the costumes, the creativity, and the chance to become somebody or something else for a few hours.
We’ve had some pretty ambitious Halloween years.
One year, we turned our son’s little trike into a full jet plane and dressed him as Maverick from Top Gun, complete with a spot for Goose at the back of the plane. Another year, we built a Yellow Submarine around his wagon so he could go as Paul McCartney. Then came the year he was the Wizard from The Wizard of Oz, riding in a hot air balloon basket held up by a giant weather balloon.
And last year? We walked around Billings as a family of inflatable dinosaurs.

Halloween Fun Is Even Better When It’s Safe
Halloween is supposed to be fun, but it’s even better when it’s safe fun. That’s one reason I love a good Trunk or Treat. Kids still get to wear the costume they’ve been planning for weeks, collect candy, and see all the clever decorations without families having to worry.

If you’re looking for a way to enjoy some Halloween fun before the evening trick-or-treating begins, Ponderosa Perk is hosting a free community Trunk or Treat on Halloween Day, October 31.
Ponderosa Perk Trunk or Treat Is Free for Billings Families
The event will run from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ponderosa Perk parking lot, which is located in the old Kmart parking lot, now the All American Pharmaceutical parking lot in the Heights. The goal is simple: fill the lot with decorated trunks, costumes, candy, and plenty of Halloween fun for local kids and families.
You can find the full event details and invitation here.

Businesses and Families Can Host a Free Trunk
If you’re a business, organization, professional, family, or just someone who loves seeing kids light up over a fun Halloween experience, this is a great way to be part of it.
Trunk spots are free. All you need to do is decorate your vehicle, bring candy, dress up if you’d like, and help create a really fun afternoon for the community.
If you’d like to host a trunk, check out the event post for more information or contact Courtney Bryant at 406-850-4262. Think back to those Halloween costumes you loved as a kid. You never know what kind of memory you might help create for somebody else.
