Symphony in the Park: A Free Family Concert Event in Billings
Sunday, June 29, 2025, is going to be a fantastic night at Pioneer Park, and you and your family will want to be there- it's Symphony in the Park!
This event is totally free, but if you're able, donations are welcome to help support the Symphony’s amazing programs. It’s a great way to enjoy the arts while helping out our local music community.
Family Fun Starts at 4 p.m.
The festivities kick off at 4 p.m. with a jam-packed schedule. The Montana Fiddle Club will play some lively music to set the mood, and there’ll be food trucks serving up tasty treats. If you’ve got little ones, they’ll love the face painting and the chance to enjoy some ice cream. From 4 to 5 p.m., kids can even try out different musical instruments! How cool is that?
A Full Lineup of Live Music
At 5 p.m., the Billings Community Band will take the stage, and if you want another chance to check out those instruments, swing by from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. for another fun session.
Kids Conducting Contest - Let Your Child Be the Star!
One of the highlights of the evening is the Kids Conducting Contest at 6:45 p.m. Little ones can step up to the podium and pretend to conduct the music. Who knows? The lucky winners might even get to conduct the Billings Symphony Orchestra!
Grab a Snack and Enjoy the Show
The main event happens at 7 p.m., when the Billings Symphony Orchestra takes center stage, and you’ll be treated to an unforgettable performance. While you’re enjoying the music, don’t forget to grab a snack from one of the food trucks. Ice cream, pastries, drinks—there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Parking and Tips for a Stress-Free Night
If you’re worried about parking, you can reserve a spot at the Senior High parking lot, and there will be a shuttle to take you right to the park. There’s also reserved seating near the creek where you can chill with drinks in hand. There’s street parking or paid parking at the high school, too.

Just remember, arrive early to snag a good spot, and don’t forget to bring chairs or blankets, sunscreen, and bug spray. Leave the big umbrellas and tents at home.
