Billings Man Fighting for Life After Devastating ATV Crash
This story hits me differently because I saw it with my own eyes. My son and I happened to drive up on the accident scene only minutes after first responders arrived.
The sight was gut-wrenching and left me thinking the man hurt in that crash, Trevor Pierce, wouldn’t survive the night. To this day, every time I drive by, I find myself whispering a prayer for him. Against all odds, Trevor is still here, but his road to recovery is going to be a long one.
ATV Deaths Surge Nationwide, Families Struggle With Costs
Sadly, Trevor’s crash is part of a much bigger problem. According to the Consumer Federation of America, in 2024, there were 632 ATV fatalities, and heartbreakingly, 119 of them were children, including babies and toddlers. Families are left reeling, trying to cover medical bills or even funeral costs, often turning to GoFundMe for help.

Fractured Skull and Broken Bones After Devastating Crash
Trevor’s accident on May 1 changed everything for his family. He suffered a fractured skull and multiple broken bones on the left side of his body, from his waist up. He’s been fighting through an incredibly difficult recovery ever since. Seeing him here today, still holding on, is nothing short of a miracle.
A Family Already Grieving Faces Another Heartbreak
This isn’t the first tragedy Trevor and his wife, Mandy, have had to endure. Just two years ago, they lost their son, Brennan. And now, they’re facing yet another unimaginable challenge while raising their three young children. The weight of grief, fear, and uncertainty is heavy enough but adding financial stress on top of it is almost unbearable.
GoFundMe Launched to Help the Pierce Family
Trevor won’t be able to work for quite some time, and medical expenses are already stacking up. Mandy, strong as she is, would never ask for help herself. But this is one of those moments when it’s clear that community support can make all the difference. A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family cover costs, and whether it’s a donation, dropping off a meal, or sending words of encouragement, every act of kindness matters.

Why Community Love Matters in the Long Road Ahead
Billings has always been a place where neighbors look out for each other. Trevor’s fight is far from over, but knowing he has a community standing behind him will make the journey a little lighter. Let’s continue to lift Trevor, Mandy, and their kids in prayer and surround them with tangible support as they face the long road ahead.
