Billings Logan Just Beat Out Every Other Airport in Montana

Billings Logan International Airport has officially earned some serious bragging rights. The airport was just named the Best Airport in Montana for 2026, beating out airports across the state in a public vote.

Billings Logan International Airport took the top honor in Distinctly Montana magazine’s annual Best of Montana reader-choice awards.

This was not a decision made by a panel of judges or something an airport could buy its way into. The recognition came directly from the people who use Montana airports. This year’s competition drew a record 134,749 nominations and votes from people across the state and visitors who love spending time here.

Billings Logan Airport Named Best Airport in Montana

Billings Logan International Airport Director of Aviation and Transit Jeff Roach said the airport team is honored by the recognition.

“We are excited to be recognized as the best Montana airport by the customers we serve every day,” Roach said. “The BIL Team strives to provide an outstanding customer experience for everyone that relies on the airport to meet their travel needs.”

That is a big deal because BIL is more than just a place to catch a flight. It connects Billings and the surrounding region to destinations across Montana and the country, whether you are headed out for a family visit, a long-awaited vacation, work, school, or are coming home after time away.

More Than 134,000 Votes Helped Choose Montana’s Best Airport

The Best of Montana awards are decided entirely by public vote. Readers nominate businesses and organizations across the state, and the top nominees advance to a statewide vote.

This year, the contest saw more participation than ever. More than 134,000 nominations and votes were cast, making this recognition especially meaningful for the Billings airport team.
