Final Chance for Billings Leaf Pickup – Important Deadline You Need To Know
I don’t know about you, but it feels like the leaves were on a mission this year. Every time the rake came out, the trees seemed to say “Oh yeah? Watch this.” The front yard, the backyard… it's been never-ending.
Our green bin filled up before we even made a dent, and we finally admitted defeat and started bagging everything just to haul it off to the dump. Even now, it feels like the yard needs attention every other day, like the leaves are regenerating when we’re not looking.
Don’t Miss Billings’ Final Day for Curbside Leaf Pickup
Since so many of us are still knee-deep in fall cleanup, here’s something important to know. The last day for curbside yard waste pickup in Billings is Friday, November 28, 2025. Yes, that’s Black Friday, so if you’re planning to sleep off that extra helping of pie or hit the sales, you might want to roll your bin out early.

Where to Take Your Leaves After Curbside Pickup Ends
If you’re still up to your elbows in yard work after curbside pickup ends, don’t worry. Billings keeps several leaf collection sites open until Friday, December 5, 2025. You can take bagged leaves to any of these container locations:
Castle Rock Park
Clevenger Park
Dehler Park
Pioneer Park
Veterans Park
Amend Park
Mayflower Congregational Church
Poly Vista Park
Just make sure your leaves are bagged and tied securely. And a gentle reminder: these containers are for leaves only. No branches, no pumpkins, no surprise “yard treasures” your kids drag in.
After December 5, It’s Dump Runs Only
Once the leaf sites close on December 5, your best option is hauling the rest directly to the dump. Not glamorous, but at least it gets the job done.
A Quick Safety Warning About Leaves in the Road
One more thing, and it comes from both common sense and a little worry. I’ve seen a lot of people blowing or raking their leaves straight into the road. Please don’t. Not only do wet leaves turn into a slick hazard for drivers, but it can be genuinely dangerous for kids.

You know how inviting a big pile of leaves looks to a child. They see a fluffy mountain. Adults see a potential storm grate. Or even worse, a kid hidden in the pile just as someone pulls over to park. It’s one of those things that you don’t think about until you do… and by then it’s too late.
