Sometimes, the best way to get to know the people working in your community is simply to sit down and have a conversation. That is the idea behind an upcoming Coffee with a Cop event in the Heights.

The Billings Police Department is inviting community members to stop by Target, located at 403 Main Street, on Wednesday, October 7. The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon, and you are welcome to stop by whenever it fits your schedule.

What to Expect at Coffee With a Cop

There will be no formal presentation, long meeting, or strict agenda. Instead, this is a chance to grab a cup of coffee and have a casual conversation with the officers who serve Billings neighborhoods.

Maybe you have a question about something happening near your home. Maybe there is a neighborhood concern you would like to share. Or maybe you simply want to meet the officers you see around town and put a face with the uniform. Coffee with a Cop gives you a comfortable place to do that.

Meet Billings Interim Police Chief Shawn Mayo

Attendees will also have the chance to meet Billings Police Department Interim Chief Shawn Mayo. It's a chance to ask questions, share what's on your mind, and learn more about the department beyond an emergency call or a traffic stop.

You don't need to register, bring anything, or commit to staying for the full two hours. Just stop by the Heights Target, grab some coffee, and say hello. The Billings Police Department says it looks forward to seeing the community there.
