As the much-awaited spring break season is creeping up on us, travelers flying out of Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) are being encouraged to make transportation arrangements in advance to avoid potential delays.

As more people are leaving for their trips before spring break officially starts, Jeff Roach, who is in charge of aviation and transit in Billings, wants to make sure everyone plans ahead for a ride to the airport and back. This will help make your travel experience easier and without any problems.

High Demand Anticipated at BIL with Overflow Parking Lots Quickly Filling Up

BIL is getting ready for a lot more people coming to the airport over spring break. This means there will be a lot of travelers and the flights will be full. Even though the airport has a lot of parking spots, they are filling up fast.

It might be hard to find a spot, so Roach suggests thinking about other ways to get to the airport. You could ask someone you know for a ride, use a ridesharing service, or take a taxi. If you're traveling with others, it's a good idea to try to all fit into one vehicle if you can.

Convenience and Accessibility: Shuttle Service and Cell Phone Waiting Lot at BIL

If you park in the farthest spot at the overflow parking lots, you'll only have to walk half a mile to reach the terminal entrance. To help passengers get to the terminal more easily, there will be a shuttle service provided by the airport running between the overflow parking areas and the terminal.

When you arrive at the airport, the shuttle will drop you off at Door 2 near the ticket counters. And when you return from your trip, you can catch the shuttle at Door 4 near the baggage claim area to go back to your car.

Additionally, BIL has set up a parking lot specifically for drivers waiting to pick up passengers. This Cell Phone Waiting Parking Lot can be found on Overlook Drive, to the west of the terminal building.

Drivers can park in the specified parking lot for free while they wait for their loved ones to arrive. This helps make airport operations smoother and more convenient for everyone.
